BELARUS — GRENADA

Diplomatic relations between Grenada and Belarus were established on May 31, 2000.
NEW YORK, 27 September 2019 – Grenada and Belarus have discussed a possibility of easing visa requirements in order to facilitate contacts in business, tourism, education, science and culture.

Belarus Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with Grenada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Peter Charles David on the margins of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly.
The parties welcomed the high-level political dialogue that took place after a long break. The head of Grenada’s delegation voiced his country’s interest to build cooperation with Belarus. Vladimir Makei suggested discussing a possibility of concurrent accreditation in Belarus of Grenada’s ambassador to Russia. Peter Charles David, in his turn, said that Grenada is ready to facilitate contacts between Belarus and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), an organization of 15 Caribbean nations and dependencies.
