TURKMENISTAN — GRENADA

Diplomatic relations between Grenada and Turkmenistan were established on 13 February 2020.
The ambassadors of the two countries discussed the prospects for cooperation between Grenada and Turkmenistan in areas of mutual interest, including within the framework of international organizations.
The diplomats agreed to actively explore cooperation between both countries including visa-waiver and cultural, entrepreneurial exchange.
Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between both countries was signed in Moscow on Thursday February 13, 2020.
Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary H.E. Mr. Oleg Firer and H.E. Mr. Batyr Niyazliyev signed on behalf of the governments of Grenada and Turkmenistan respectively.

“Grenada and Turkmenistan, desirous to promote mutual understanding and strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries, guided by the principles and purposes of the United Nations Charter and international law, have decided to establish diplomatic relations at ambassadorial level,” the document reads.
